Micro-niches and title formats

How vidfora mines sub-topics and recurring title shapes, and how to use them.

Inside every broad niche are tighter clusters that behave like their own topics. vidfora mines these from analysed videos and ranks them by how well their videos overperform.

Micro-niches

A micro-niche is a recurring sub-topic that clusters inside a broader niche. "Productivity" is a niche. "Notion workflows for freelancers" is a micro-niche.

Micro-niches matter because broad niches are won by big channels with big audiences, while micro-niches are won by whoever serves them best. Ranked by outlier multiplier, they show you which sub-topics reliably beat their channels' baselines — which is a much better guide to where to start than niche size.

Title formats

vidfora also mines recurring title shapes — the structural patterns that keep appearing among overperformers in a niche.

The important thing about a title format is that it's a shape, not a sentence. "I tried X for 30 days" is a shape. Copying the exact wording of a winning title is worthless; understanding why the shape works — it promises a payoff, it implies effort, it sets a clear endpoint — lets you apply it to anything you make.

How to use them together

  1. Find a micro-niche in your broader niche with a strong multiplier.
  2. Look at the title formats overperforming inside it.
  3. Search the [outlier feed](/browse-the-outlier-feed) for that micro-niche to see the actual videos.
  4. Take the shape, not the sentence, into your own topic.

Where to find them

Micro-niches and title formats surface in Niche Explorer (Plus) and in the Niches section of the app.
