Why it can take a minute
Live Analyze reads a channel from YouTube at the moment you ask — it isn't looking anything up in a database. It resolves the channel, lists the recent uploads, and pulls live view counts for each one.
A channel that's been analysed recently loads instantly from cache. A cold channel takes longer — up to a minute or two. That's normal, not a fault. Leave the page open.
If it fails
"Channel not found" — Check the handle or URL. The most reliable input is the handle exactly as YouTube shows it (@handle), or the URL copied straight from the channel page. Custom vanity URLs and old-style /c/ links can be ambiguous.
A private, terminated or region-blocked channel can't be fetched. Neither can channels with no public uploads.
A brand-new channel with only a couple of videos will analyse, but its median is based on too little data to be meaningful. Treat the multipliers with caution.
It just failed once — retry. Live reads occasionally fail transiently.
"I've hit my limit"
On the free plan, Live Analyze is a limited preview — currently 3 analyses per day. Plus and Pro include it without that cap. See [Plans compared](/plans-compared-free-plus-and-pro).
The numbers look wrong
If the outlier scores seem implausible, check the channel's median first — it's shown alongside the results. A channel with wildly inconsistent output, or one that recently changed format, will have a median that doesn't represent it well, and every multiplier derived from it inherits that.
Also check that you're reading Shorts against Shorts. The two formats are scored on separate baselines for exactly this reason.
