The Outliers page is vidfora's core surface: a scored, filterable library of videos that beat their own channels. It's fully available on the free plan.
What's on a card
Each card shows the thumbnail, the title, the channel, and the video's outlier score — the multiplier against that channel's own median. Supporting stats include view count, upload date, and engagement signals so you can tell a genuine breakout from a small channel's statistical blip.
Click any card to open the video's detail, jump to the channel, or bookmark it to a board.
How to actually use it
Browsing top-to-bottom isn't research. The feed pays off when you narrow it to a question:
- "What's breaking out in my niche this month?" → set your niche, set upload date to the last 30 days, minimum score 5x.
- "What thumbnail style wins for small channels here?" → set your niche, then use the channel-size filters (Plus) to look only at smaller channels.
- "What formats overperform in Shorts?" → set format to Shorts, sort by outlier score.
Read thumbnails before titles
The fastest way to extract value: scroll with your eyes unfocused and look only at the thumbnails. Patterns in composition, colour and face-presence jump out when you're not reading. Then go back and read the titles of the ones that stopped you.
Data freshness
The feed serves from vidfora's stored dataset, which is refreshed on an ongoing basis — the page shows when the data was last refreshed. If you need a specific channel's numbers right now, use [Live Analyze](/live-analyze-break-down-any-channel) instead, which pulls the channel on demand.
