Why generations cost different amounts
Credits are cost-weighted. A generation costs credits in proportion to the actual work it takes, so a quick batch of titles doesn't cost the same as a fully rendered thumbnail image.
Roughly:
- Text generations (titles, ideas, thumbnail concepts, Thumbnail Score) — a fraction of the cost of an image. You can run a lot of these.
- AI Coach turns — modest per turn; a Deep think turn costs several times a normal one (the extra reasoning is real model work).
- Thumbnail images — priced by quality tier. Standard quality is about 156 credits per image.
The app always shows the credit cost before you spend it, and your live balance is visible in the AI tools.
The practical read: 3,000 credits on Plus covers a comfortable month of thumbnail work — roughly 19 standard-quality images, or a much larger volume of concepts, scores, and coach turns. 9,000 on Pro covers regular thumbnail generation and daily use of the title and idea generators.
When credits reset
Your balance resets to the full allotment at the start of each calendar month (UTC).
Unused credits do not roll over. The allotment simply starts fresh — it's a monthly budget, not a bank.
The app shows exactly when your balance next resets.
When you run out
Generations stop until your balance resets. Everything non-AI on your plan — the outlier feed, tracking, boards, filters, the Studio editor, Creator Tools, Live Analyze, Subscriber Insights — keeps working normally.

Credits and cancelled generations
If a generation fails or is interrupted, its credits are returned to your balance. You're only charged for work that completes.
